~upgrading~

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah for giving me this morning, thank you for His blessing. I’m blessed with myself, my health, people around me, my mama ayah, my siblings. What a great life I have, hopefully we can meet again at Jannah, amen.

Nothing much to say, just that I would like to share something , new knowledge I got from a seminar with consultant.
Again, I am sharing info yang sangat ringan, but then hopefully we still can get something from it.

I am a full time student, most of the time are allocated for lectures, quizzes, assignment, books, examinations, presentation. Hectic life right?..Is it?.. You are what you think. If I set in mind, my student’s life is miserable, tough, want to finish it immediately, etc, then all of the thoughts will affect my action. Shift the thought, shift the paradigm. Paradigm shifts move us from one way of seeing the world to another. And those shifts create powerful change. Our paradigms, correct or incorrect, are the sources of our attitudes and behaviors, and ultimately our relationships with others.

The trainer, abang amirul shares with us some techniques; ‘5 things that you must do while in campus to maximize your potential’. Sounds great, indeed..it is really great.

Maximize potential, means that we upgrade ourselves to a higher position. There is the principle of potential, the idea that we are embryonic and can grow and develop and release more and more potential, develop more and more talents. You and I, everyone have the potential within, develop it, then we will become more useful to ummah, insyaAllah.

First thing first; we must have a clear goal. Without goal, where are we going to set our motion?.. nak gerak ke timur ke, ke barat daya ke..kalau xdak arah tujuan, serius blur nak buat apa. Make it simple, here is an analogy. Can you imagine a football match without goal post. Harimau Malaya team pass the ball among their colleague, sepak punya sepak, yang sedihnya xdak gerbang gol pun nak score, then terpassing la pulak bola kat pasukan lawan..They play within the cirle, but without any aim. Seriously bosan, x bersemangat, main sepak ja tanpa arah tuju. Bila nk tamat game xtau la kalau camtu punya situasi.

The same thing with our life. My previous post, begin with the end in mind. We already have a clear objective what we want to do, what achievement we want. We focus on our life as a student. What is our goal?..Just simply want to finish the study, or we want to get something that we can proud of. This is the real challenge; set a SMART goal to graduate. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-bound. For example; my goal is to graduate 1st class honors, ataupun paling minima; 2nd class upper. The goal is specific, and for sure we can measure it  based on the cgpa. It is attainable or not?..Me myself, have another 6 semesters to finish up my study, bachelor in biomedical science. InsyaAllah, my goal is still relevant with my current cgpa. And hopefully insyaAllah, I will finish my degree within 4 years, not more, and for sure la not less, system uia dah tetapkan minima 4 tahun.

It is my goal, and I believe I can. Everybody can start, but not everybody can finish, and successful people finish what they start. InsyaAllah.

Second aspect to maximize potential; Learn to manage time. Masa itu pedang, masa itu emas, aliran masa ibarat aliran sungai, time is money, etc. Macam2 perumpaan nak gambarkan pentingnya masa.

To manage our time, there are 5 tips we can practice. 1) Have a planner ( I do have, and it is really helpful..kalau xdak planner, berterabur la semua assignment meeting usrah, x ingat bila. If you still don’t have, better you have one). 2) Prioritize and reprioritize (kalau ikut Paretto’s Law, ni la istilahnya..tapi bahasa mudahnya, fiqh awlawiyat..what matter to settle first, we decide!). 3)Do not procrastinate (memang kena tepat kat hazwani, senyum x terkata apa). Lagi 2 tips x larat nk taip dah, kira aci la kan..hehe, pokoknya, pandai2 la manage masa sndri=)

Third aspect; learn to manage money. Part ni saya paling excited, sebab memang ilmu baru, and seriously, x sabar nak beli jar.

Dari kecik lagi, when we are at primary and secondary school, mother gives us pocket money, and what is her advice everyday?..’ kalau ada lebih, simpan’.. My mother told me this ayat keramat sejak dulu lagi, and berterusan hingga ke legasi my 2 youngest brother..kalau ada lebih, simpan. Ok fine, we spend first, kalau ada lebih nanti, boleh la masukkan dalam tabung cili ka tabung ayam ka. Masalahnya ma, memang x pernah ada lebih..ottokke, nak simpan kebendanya..siap pecahkan tabung ada la..confident ja guna hammer ketuk tabung sendiri..haha.

Alhamdulillah Allah takdirkan saya dapat ilmu pengurusan wang ni, harapnya saya betul2 dapat amalkan, bukan semata2 berteori. Bila ingat2 balik mana semua duit dihabeskan, rasa menyesal pun ada. Sampai x tinggal apa dalam simpanan..ok, hiperbola, ada la sikit, tapi x banyak.huhu.
Ok, let bygone be bygone, say bye bye to the past. We move forward. Remember, yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, but today is a gift.. Take baby steps, it is difficult to change. Start with a small change, small changes bring big changes!

The real principle about money; until you show you can handle what you’ve got, you won’t get anymore, and the habit of managing money is more important than the amount. 6 jars method, it is really fantastic and hopefully biiznillah, I can manage my money well. Duit yang dapat setiap sem, peruntukkan untuk 6 perkara; for spending, savings, investment, education, fun, and give. Mula-mula memang x nampak lagi effect, but later on, maybe after 7-10 years, I can smile like sunshine^_^

Rasanya bukan saya seorang, tapi semua peserta pakat ada perasaan x sabar nak ada anak, nak ajar jadi macam ni..ok dah, berangan sikit2 cukup..kalau si mak tunggang tebalik x jadi jugak..so, make change for myself first..jadikan penantian ini satu proses (ok, background lagu; menjemput bidadari)

Ada lagi yang nak kongsi, tapi x larat dah..ada lagi 2 points how to maximize potential..lain kali insyaAllah. Biar sikit yang kita dapat, tapi yang tu yang kita amalkan

Upgrade ourselves , not for others, but do it because we really want to become better..better as vicegerent of Allah, better muslims, better daughter to mama ayah, insyaAllah.

~how you do anything is how you do everything
~you don’t have to be great to start, you just have to start
~knowing is not enough, we must apply..willing is not enough, we must do
~jom, become a student of life dengan penuh riang gembira^__^
